BYRON DONALDS

Zero Tolerance, Zero Dollars

What It Is

Florida law bans sanctuary policies. No state entity, local government, law enforcement agency, or recipient of public funds may limit cooperation with federal immigration enforcement. And zero tolerance means zero dollars: any agency or organization that defies Florida law should forfeit any funding from Florida taxpayers.

What It Does

  • Require all state and local entities receiving public funds to certify compliance with federal immigration enforcement, including ICE cooperation.
  • Direct coordination with the Attorney General to enforce state prohibitions on sanctuary policies.
  • Issue an executive order terminating state grant funding to agencies, local governments, and nonprofits that defy federal immigration enforcement or support unlawful presence.
  • Direct state agencies to audit programs, contracts, and grants for immigration compliance.
  • Bar state and local governments from spending public funds on benefits or services for illegal aliens unless required by federal law.
  • Establish penalties and funding restrictions for entities that adopt or maintain sanctuary policies.
  • Expand prosecutorial capacity for violent and property crime cases committed by illegal aliens.
