What It Is

LaunchPad is driven by industry, not by the government. Employers identify the high-demand fields, and Florida responds by building the partnerships and pathways needed to meet those needs. Together, they develop a success plan that guides students toward a career and a zero-tuition outcome.

What It Does

The LaunchPad Initiative will boost high-skilled industry jobs, supercharge efforts to promote apprenticeship and work-based learning partnerships with industry leaders to make low- and no-cost workforce training align to employer needs.
The LaunchPad Initiative will audit existing career pathways and bureaucracy and then streamline workforce training across agencies.
Create a task force within the governor’s office to coordinate high schools and state & community colleges with cutting-edge apprenticeship and on-the-job training programs.
Draw companies to Florida by making it the most highly skilled technical workforce in the nation.
