Florida Agriculture Commissioner Wilton Simpson today announced his endorsement for Byron Donalds for Governor, earning Donalds a full sweep of the Florida Cabinet. Simpson joins Attorney General James Uthmeier and Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia in backing Donalds’ campaign for Governor.
Simpson, who has led the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services since 2023, said Byron has stood with the state’s farmers and rural communities from the start.
“Byron Donalds is a trusted conservative who will always put Floridians first. Byron stands with our farmers, ranchers, and rural communities,” said Florida Agriculture Commissioner Wilton Simpson. “He recognizes the importance of lowering costs, creating good jobs, protecting our land and water resources, and ensuring Florida families have access to fresh, healthy food. I look forward to working alongside Byron to keep Florida the best state in the country, and I am proud to endorse him for governor.”
Donalds called Simpson a strong voice for Florida’s farmers, ranchers, and rural families, and thanked him for his support.
“Wilton Simpson is a proven fighter for Florida agriculture, our rural communities, and the conservative values that make this state great — I’m honored to have his support,” said Byron Donalds. “He understands what it takes to keep our agricultural industry strong and our rural communities thriving. Together, we will keep Florida the freest, most prosperous state in the country.”
In addition to Attorney General James Uthmeier and Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia, Simpson joins Florida’s incoming House Speaker and Senate President, more than 75% of Florida House Republicans, President Trump, Donald Trump, Jr., Charlie Kirk, Elon Musk, and other leading national conservatives in endorsing Donalds.
Donalds’ sweeping endorsements are a reflection of where the campaign stands heading into the final stretch of the primary: obliterating fundraising milestones with $23 million raised in the second quarter alone, bringing the total to-date to a staggering $90 million, knocking more than 180,000 doors across Florida, and launching a $20 million statewide ad buy. From every corner of the state, the numbers tell the same story: Donalds is reaching Floridians everywhere, and he’s only just getting started.
