Democrats’ War on ICE Hits Florida

As governor, Byron Donalds vows law and order and the removal of any elected official who blocks federal immigration enforcement.

The Radical Democrats’ war on federal law enforcement has reached Florida, and Byron Donalds, the Trump-endorsed candidate for Governor, is drawing a clear line in support of the rule of law.

From House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries opposing full funding for DHS and ICE in Washington to local Democrats in Orange County pushing to block ICE detention efforts, the same radical agenda is playing out at every level of government: attack law enforcement, undermine the rule of law, and invite chaos.

“ICE is under attack. DHS is under attack. Law and order is under attack. As Florida’s next governor, I won’t stand for it,” said Donalds.

Nowhere is this clearer than in Orange County, where Democrat officials and activists are demanding moratoriums and restrictions aimed at stopping ICE detention facilities and cooperation with federal authorities.

“David Jolly has already said he opposes an ICE facility in Orlando. Jerry Demings is hiding from the issue and voters deserve to know where he stands. We demand that he answer whether he stands for putting Floridians or illegal aliens first,” Donalds said.

“Democrats are choosing obstruction over safety. Their refusal to fully support DHS and ICE weakens border security, empowers cartels and traffickers, and puts Florida families at risk. As the next governor of Florida, I will always stand with law enforcement to keep our state safe,” Donalds continued.

“These Orange County Democrats’ are reckless and jeopardizing public safety. There is no way in hell we will allow local elected officials to impede federal immigration enforcement when I am governor. Any elected official who flouts the rule of law will be removed from office,” Donalds said.

“Governor DeSantis has been clear that Florida will uphold federal immigration law – and as Florida’s next governor, that will not change. I will work hand in hand with President Trump and law enforcement to protect Floridians,” Donalds said.
