Byron Donalds joined “My View” with Lara Trump to break down the Democrats’ refusal to cooperate with ICE.
“It’s the Mayor’s rhetoric, the rhetoric of Governor Tim Walz, and so many other Minnesota officials that have inflamed the situation. Look at the contrast. Here in Florida, we’re participating with ICE. We’re working with them through the 287(g) program,” Donalds said.
He continued, “You’re not seeing this in Florida. You’re seeing this because you have stupid Democrats in the state of Minnesota who are trying to remain popular in their party, who are not doing the right thing. They’re not showing leadership and are not abiding by the United States Constitution.”
“A Governor, a Mayor, and now, a U.S. Senator, do not have the legal authority to dictate to ICE what they are going to do and not do when it comes to enforcing the law. Something Joe Biden and the Democrats refused to do, which led to Donald Trump winning a political mandate in 2024 to deport criminal illegal aliens,” Donalds concluded.
Last week, Donalds vowed as Governor to remove any official who obstructs immigration enforcement in Florida following Orange County Democrats’ efforts to block ICE detention efforts.
Donald’s support for ICE, and overwhelming support from Florida’s top Sheriffs further cement him as the proven law-and-order candidate for Governor who will uphold the rule of law and keep Florida the safest state in the country.
