Trump-endorsed gubernatorial candidate Byron Donalds launched his “Defending the Florida Dream” Tour with a policy-driven discussion centered around affordability.
At the kickoff event, Donalds outlined a comprehensive plan, Your Doctor, Your Price, to lower the everyday costs that continue to strain Florida families from healthcare expenses to insurance premiums.
“Floridians deserve transparency and relief,” said Donalds. “You should know what your hospital charges before you walk in the door and how fast your insurer pays before you file a claim. Your Doctor, Your Price will ensure the real price tag is going on everything when it comes to Floridians healthcare.”
Donalds’ affordability agenda includes a series of targeted reforms aimed at putting more money back into the pockets of Floridians.
Donalds’ Your Doctor, Your Price initiative calls for hospitals and providers to publicly post real cash prices for the top 20 most common services, ensuring patients have clear, upfront pricing before receiving care. The plan would also align Florida’s prescription drug program with Trump Rx pricing standards to further reduce costs and expand access. Additionally, Donalds is advocating for patient-first reforms that eliminate prior authorization requirements and surprise billing, while allowing Floridians the freedom to see any licensed provider they choose.
