In case you missed it, a new statewide poll from the University of North Florida’s Public Opinion Research Lab shows Byron Donalds leading liberal Democrat David Jolly in the race for Governor of Florida.
According to the poll of likely Florida midterm voters, Donalds leads Jolly by five points, earning 46% support compared to Jolly’s 41%. An additional 6% of voters remain undecided.
“Florida voters don’t want liberal David Jolly’s self-described ‘far left’ policies that will raise taxes, make life more expensive, jeopardize public safety, and import the Democrats’ radical agenda to our state,” said Ryan Smith, Chief Strategist for the Byron Donalds for Governor campaign. “Byron Donalds will be our next governor because he will keep Florida thriving with common-sense policies to make life in the Sunshine State safer, healthier, and more affordable.”
Donalds enters the general election with significant momentum after posting strong primary polling, building a record-breaking campaign that has raised more than $90 million, and leading a statewide grassroots operation that has already knocked more than 300,000 doors across Florida.
The UNF PORL Florida Statewide Poll surveyed 848 likely Florida midterm voters from July 8 through July 17, 2026. The poll has an overall margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3.8 percentage points.
